So, the Revival is over? Now what! “Sustaining revival is not a one-time event but a continuous journey that requires commitment, humility, and a focus on God's Word. By fostering spiritual hunger, unity, and a willingness to adapt, communities can keep the revival fire burning and continue to experience God's transformative power in their lives.” Revival is not a specific period of time. Revival is a second by second, minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day…. you get the picture. Spiritual renewal is not a check off your list type activity. Romans 12:2 states: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing, and perfect will.” REVIVAL = DAILY RENEWAL There is an old conversation. “I feel distant from God.” Well, “Who moved?” We are either renewing our mind, or the world is shaping and moving us away from God. There is so much more on this topic but I’m going to simply leave this here and encourage you to read the description of the early church in Acts 2:42-47. Consider the following points for this first church: Devotion to core practices: The believers committed themselves to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, communal meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and prayer. Awe and miracles: Many wonders and signs were performed through the apostles, inspiring reverence among the people. Radical generosity: They shared all things in common, selling possessions and distributing to anyone in need. Daily unity and worship: They met daily in the temple and shared meals in homes with glad and sincere hearts. Growth of the community: God added to their number daily those who were being saved. Revival can and should continue because we can and should be committed to continuing daily renewal and revival. I am so thankful for all who attended, for John’s commitment to a tent revival and for all of the musicians who shared what they had. I again am also so thankful for our ERT men. Whenever we have a large group activity this team is a blessing to the whole church but I’m going to say especially to those who oversee the activity. Their attention to detail and individual safety of all in attendance blesses me every time. I thank God for Fellowship Baptist Church! Can I get an Amen? Yahoo regular Tuesday meeting At the regular YAHOO meeting on Tuesday, they are hosting a guest speaker who will address Medicare. This will be a regular luncheon with some insights and knowledge that will benefit the congregation. Join them at 11 am even if you have never come before. They welcome new participants all the time.
